It feels so tight and organized, like a condensed distillation of all the exploration they had done in Europe, packed into a super-tight energy ball. Definitely one of my top 10 Stars. This was the beginning of the era of huge stadium shows -- I believe this was the biggest crowd the Dead had played to that point. And they lived up to it -- they destroyed the place. Unfortunately, this recording has some problems... the tape is old and warbly and there's some glitchy issues. Don't let that stop you from checking out this great show, but IMHO, the crown jewel of Roosevelt Stadium shows is 8/1/73.
